The President’s Message

Happy New Year!!!!

I hope everyone had healthy and

happy holidays. I also hope that your

plants survived that severe dip in

the weather a couple of weeks ago.

You may notice some brown patches

on the leaves of some your broms, not

to worry no harm to the plant itself

it’s just unsightly and of course it

always happens to your favorite one. Maureen and Bill Frazel wrote an excellent article in this months Scurf on Cold Weather Protection. Follow their advice and you should have no problems.

In this months Scurf there are notices of two, count them two, fantastic field trips planned. One in Feb and one in April. I am very excited that we are able to  provide such interesting and educational trips to you. I’d like to thank Maureen for getting these set up for us!!

 Thanks Maureen

Next, we will be participating in the Spring Plant Affair at Heritage Park. This is May 3rd and 4th. If you plan on selling and have not sold before, please get your selling number from Larry Searle - I encourage everyone to bring plants to sell, remember 20% goes back to the club. For details see Tim Hendrix 954-931-1711.

Please take note : this meeting is on Wednesday due to

Martin Luther King Day. This is the only month that we meet on a Wednesday.

See you soon,

Colleen
