The President’s Message |
|
We have a fun new idea for the refreshment table that I think you all will enjoy. Each month, as always, those with birthdays in that month will bring in a food item for the refreshment table. Each contributing member will receive a raffle ticket. There will be a separate raffle drawing just for those tickets.
I hope a lot of you were able to make it to Paul Humann’s home on our Saturday field trip. If any of you have suggestions of places that you think we need to see, please get with Maureen or Me so that it can be considered for a ramble. On April 26th from 10-2 BSBC will be participating in Green Day, so we need a few volunteers to man the booth by informing the public about our club and educating about bromeliads, taking memberships, doing potting and mounting demos. Please see Tim or me about this event. Gail Shirlaw is my first Volunteer, but I need more………… The last bit of very exciting news is that we have set the dates for the BSBC biennial Judged Show and Sale, it will be April 4th and 5th 2009 at Volunteer Park and sponsored by the Plantation Women’s Club. I am just thrilled that they have agreed to join us in this venture . On behalf of the BSBC I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the PWC for collaborating with us and giving us the opportunity to have our event in a fantastic facility. See you Monday, Colleen |
