Guzmania neon

This is a Guzmania hybrid by J. Kent the California grower, but the parent plants are not known.  A medium size, typical Guzmania, it has green long slender leaves. At bloom time the shorter leaves will grow along the inflorescence stem turning reddish  at their base. But, most characteristic of this plant is the color of the rosette which is made of intense fuchsia – red bracts.
