Species ( manzanaresiana )

 

An epiphytic bromeliad endemic to Ecuador . It is on the “Red List of Threatened Species” due to its ornamental value. The species is heavily collected in the wild for commercial use. The principal threat in the

Cordillera de los Hucamayos is deforestation due to colonization. Its habitat is confined to the upper
