About Us

If you live in South Florida and are interested in bromeliads, you have come to the right place!

Founded in 1964, the Bromeliad Society of Broward County is a diverse group of enthusiastic gardeners who have a fascination with these amazing plants. The membership consists of folks new to gardening as well as people with years of experience and even certified Master Gardeners. Regardless of your skill level or interests, there's something for everyone! Our monthly meetings are generally held at 6:30 pm on the 3rd Monday of each month at:

The objectives of this Society are:

To serve the mutual interests of its members by consistent endeavor to increase their
knowledge concerning all aspects of the bromeliad family.
To promote wider public appreciation and knowledge of the bromeliad family by participating
from time to time in public displays or other means of educational endeavors.

The guiding documents of our organization are the By-Laws and the 2015 Standing Rules. We have also revised our guide Bromeliads 101, Fundamental Bromeliad Care.

Membership fees: $30 for individuals
$35 for households with more than one member
$10 for students
